The Darkest Part of the ForestThe Darkest Part of the Forest by Holly Black
Resume Children can have a cruel, absolute sense of justice. Children can kill a monster and feel quite proud of themselves. A girl can look at her brother and believe they’re destined to be a knight and a bard who battle evil. She can believe she’s found the thing she’s been made for.
Hazel lives with her brother, Ben, in the strange town of Fairfold where humans and fae exist side by side. The faeries’ seemingly harmless magic attracts tourists, but Hazel knows how dangerous they can be, and she knows how to stop them. Or she did, once.
At the center of it all, there is a glass coffin in the woods. It rests right on the ground and in it sleeps a boy with horns on his head and ears as pointed as knives. Hazel and Ben were both in love with him as children. The boy has slept there for generations, never waking.
Until one day, he does…
As the world turns upside down, Hazel tries to remember her years pretending to be a knight. But swept up in new love, shifting loyalties, and the fresh sting of betrayal, will it be enough?

Do you have that friend who’s always telling you “you have to buy that book” and then you do, and you fall so deeply in love with a book that you buy all the book from that writer ? That’s what my friend Angie is to me. Every freaking time she says “buy that book” i do it. Like, without thinking twice.
The darkest part of the forest is one of thoses books. She says “buy it”. I bought it. (well, i wanted the golden book so i had to wait till it was on abebook, but hey ! still bought it without looking at the resume. ) And i fell in love. I fell in love with Hazel, Ben, Serverin, Jack. I fell in love with that so perfect writing. I fell in love with Holly Black too. (nop, don’t look at me that way. I just feel she is the queen of my heart, nothing creepy i swear ! )
anyways. this book is disturbing. This book is complicated. It was difficult to understand, at first. And then. And then everything was in place. And then it blowed my mind. I loved it. I loved every pages.
